To overcome this challenge, we developed a tool that not only displays raw EDI data in a readable format, but also checks EDI files for compliance. With this tool, the user will be able to identify errors within the EDI file and fix them right away in the Editor.

If the HIPAA Compliance Editor finds any error, the error will be highlighted; a detailed description of the error is displayed if the user clicks the highlighted area. After the EDI file is edited, the compliance check can be refreshed to make sure all the errors have been fixed. A detailed error report is generated for every compliance issue on a file or multiple files.
